Because I can't let a whole week go by without posting I must write something today. Unfortunately as of this morning, I don't have much. So just a few random things...
On Friday I picked my nephew up at daycare. I prepared well for the visit to my house by purchasing several pounds of candy, some ice cream (for me of course) and the oh so fun but according to the package, somewhat dangerous slip and slide. Remember these things??? Because I am very good at following directions, when I read that I MUST set the slip and slide up on a flat surface, I immediately found the spot in our backyard where the slope is the steepest. Because steep slope = slip and slide glory folks. Cody was more interested in running up and down the thing which of course is NOT permitted according to the safety precautions but I wasn't about to get in the way of a kid barrelling down a hill on slippery wet plastic. B and I however? Oh, we were not content with simply watching the kid. Cody asked aunty to slide down so fully clothed I gave it a few good tries. Then Cody asked uncle B to try. And Uncle B? He is over 6 feet tall and much heavier than aunty and when he got a run at it and slid down, he ended up shooting right off the end of the slip and slide and another 20 feet down the hill to the bottom of the yard. Ah...if only the camera wasn't broken. Oh, also? Cody was riding on his back which? shhhh cuz definitely not safe and definitely against the rules. But the fun? It made me feel like a kid again when summers were spent running and playing and swimming and laughing from the time you got up in the morning until it was time to go to bed. Although I would definitely never want to do it all over again (those teenage years were just a tad "messy"), some days I just wish that I could go back to the innocent happiness of being a child...where your only worries are which friends you are going to play with and whether you are going to swim or go for a bike ride or go play at the park. I hope everyone gets the chance to experience being a kid again and if you get the opportunity...definitely try out the slip and slide!!
Oh, other randomness...I saw my next door neighbour's kid, who is in about grade 5 slipping a beer into each of his pockets as he headed out on his bike...and so it begins
OMG
and there it begins...
TTYL...xoxo me
especially since i know what its like to take care of my baby brother) lmao
Is it the neighbor that I think it is?? Just cuz if so, it makes a lil sense, I suppose...is that mean??
your even funnier when you have nothing to say..
be there or be bare !!!
LOL..... and her i was waiting to see how it went for Riley and Maggie altho after they saw "B" launch himself thru the fence they mostly likely (and wisely) retreated to the house.
- stop by for a visit...
That was AMAZING wasnt it? here I thought Paul Lorieau was just gonna holdit up for a line or two but as each one passed and he didnt bring it down they just got LOUDER AND LOUDER.
Enjoy your day at work my friend!
