plus because I'm all about shock and awe...i thought I would post on a Friday instead of waiting until Sunday. Oooooh...

Whatever. Anyway, it's been a good week and a really productive one. Thanks to Suna, the contents of the suitcase have pretty much all been read, and I am now beginning to organize it all (or at least my version of organizing which involves throwing it all back into the suitcase and not organizing it at all). I am also working on another project which is completely unrelated but will be a lot of fun (for me anyway) More on that later.

I believe I forgot to mention the incident that occurred a couple of weeks ago in our house...an incident that comes from the "It could only happen to me" files. (Not to be confused with the "What to do when your master's degree will barely buy you a meal at McDonald's" files) You see, for some reason, Maggie has become slightly obsessed with me lately. This means that no matter what I am doing, Maggie is in my face and is often getting tangled in my limbs and hair. The latter happened at a most unfortunate time...when I happened to be doing crunches on the floor. The benefit of having a 40 pound dog on top of you while you are performing crunches should be clear...it makes it much more difficult to execute an average crunch, thereby increasing the benefit and result of doing crunches. Except when I tried to lift my head off the floor, I RIPPED MY DOG'S TOENAIL OFF WITH MY HAIR. You can re-read that sentence again if you like but I assure you, it won't change. I am fairly certain that this is better than having a weedwacker stuck to one's hair...(see previous entries if you think that I am joking) but I am sure this still can't be good. Maggie had a rough time that day, as only moments before, she had popped a hole in my exercise ball (Oh wait, did I mention that my husband broke his tooth right out of his mouth while blowing up my exercise ball? It appears that I may be rubbing off on him in ways that are not so good. If I didn't mention this before, consider it mentioned and we must never speak of it again...unless we would like to laugh about it which can't be mistaken for talking about it and is therefore okay)

Maggie's run in with the exercise ball may or may not have been the result of my husband and I throwing the ball in her face because we found it highly amusing when she bit violently at it, causing it to go flying across the room until her tooth caught the ball in just the wrong place at the wrong time leaving me once again ballsless (haha I said balls) but which we found even more highly amusing. Maggie was bewildered when the game came to such a sudden end and Riley went stalking angrily out of the room wondering why the hell we find her so fricking funny. It kind of goes without saying but I think this is further proof that it is a good thing we are not responsible for the well being of any children. (See entry on how we caused Riley to be attacked by angry geese for the second time because we didn't have the camera the first time) Oh, except my nephew who I will be picking up from daycare this afternoon. I generally try to take him to McDonald's or anywhere that truckloads of sugar are mixed with dangerous apparatuses (apparati?) as it is my firm belief that he is much safer flinging himself off the rope bridge while drinking syrupy coke through a pointy straw than in my home, where I just might find it amusing to let him run with scissors. ("Oh! Do that once more...down the stairs this time...but wait til I get my camera")
